In Breasts (Grudi), best friends Ana, Zorka and Jelena, who have been living in different countries of the former Yugoslavia, return to their hometown of Nikšić for their 25-year high school reunion. Although they have gone their separate ways, they have all been balancing having a career and being a mother. Each of them has a breast-related issue, most notably Ana (played by Croatian actress Marija Škaričić), who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. During their three days together, they re-encounter their old friend and lover, Fuki, a lovable petty criminal, who joins with the others to help Ana raise money for an operation and to help her daughter.
Director Marija Perović and screenwriter Vladislava Vojnović developed the movie from a four-hour TV mini-series they produced using the same characters and the same plot.
