I have read some whining online about what an outrage it is that Miss Bala was not nominated. Having seen most of the entries, I think this criticism is unfair. It may be better than In Darkness, but it is not as good as the four other nominees. However, it is an excellent exposé of the depth of corruption and tragedy caused by powerful drug cartels and I hope that more people get to see it.
